On Saturday, December 14th, with the support of the Toshiba Foundation, we held a lecture and concert on traditional Japanese music and tea for foreign visitors at the Former Tanaka Residence in Kawaguchi City. The Former Tanaka Residence, a cultural property of Kawaguchi City, features a traditional Japanese house, a Western-style house, and a tea room, making it a truly charming venue. The program was conducted entirely in English and included a koto experience, lecture, and concert in the Japanese-style room, as well as a sencha (Japanese green tea) lecture and tasting in the tea room. All 20 spots for participants were quickly filled, and the program was well-received by attendees. The next session is scheduled for Sunday, February 2nd, at the Omiya Hikawa no Mori Cultural Hall. We warmly welcome foreign participants to join us!
